Hillman Grad
[CHALLENGE]Hillman Grad Productions sought to launch its first-ever capsule collection, a collegiate-inspired apparel line that paid homage to legacy, culture, and community. The challenge was to create photography that felt timeless yet modern, authentically capturing the spirit of Black collegiate pride while appealing to a broad, style-conscious audience. Every image needed to reflect the brand’s storytelling ethos—bold, aspirational, and culturally rooted.

[SOLUTION] As the Creative Director, I led the visual concept and execution of the stills campaign, ensuring that each photograph aligned with the capsule's academic heritage while pushing it forward with contemporary energy.

I sourced and secured locations that visually echoed the collegiate themes of the collection—clean lines, architectural nods to tradition, and warm tones that balanced familiarity with freshness. I cast the models with intention, choosing faces that reflected the capsule’s boldness and elegance.
I also directed the photography, focusing on natural light, strong composition, and body language that told a story of legacy, confidence, and community.

The result was a visually compelling editorial campaign that positioned the Hillman Capsule Collection as more than fashion—it became a cultural moment. Each still served as a celebration of Black excellence, style, and self-expression, all through the lens of elevated collegiate identity.
